In September 2002 I suffered a torn aorta. In the emergency open-heart surgeries that followed I needed 125 units of blood. Thanks to those wonderful donors my daughters still have their dad around. At the time of the surgery I had triplet 5-year olds. The triplets are now 12 and we've added a new girl to the mix. I cannot begin to express my gratitude.
